WCS Brasil focus on the conservation of wildlife and wild places in the Amazon flooded forests and the Pantanal and aims to start projects in Mata Atlantica and Cerrado Biomes. The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in Brazil is currently working at the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve and at the Piagaçu-Purus Sustainable Development Reserve – PP-SDR (both in Amazonas) and in several locations in Pantanal (Mato Grosso).

Some projects developed by WCS Brazil or with its support include:
- Ecology and Conservation of pied bare face tamarin: Marcelo Gordo.
- Exploration and description of new primates in Amazonia: Fabio Rohe, Eduardo M Venticinque and Jean P. Boubli.
- Conserving Pantanal and Cerrado biodiversity by improving ranch management practices: Alexine Keuroghlian.
- Sustainable Development Reserves Mamirauá & Amanã: Helder Queiroz, Ana R. Alves.
- Sustainable Development Reserves Piagaçu-Purus: Claudia P. Deus.
